Our FACES (Family & Community Engagement Specialist) is here to support you. We provide access to on-campus and community resources, host parent workshops, and offer opportunities for families to engage both at CVA and districtwide.

Workshops & Events at Our Hive (Family Center)

Our Family Center is a welcoming space where parents and caregivers can connect, learn, and grow through a variety of workshops and events designed to support student success and family well-being.

Coffee Chat with the Principal
Join informal conversations with our Principal to share feedback, ask questions, and hear updates about school programs and goals.

Parent Empowerment Program
Workshops designed to help parents gain tools and confidence to support their child’s academic journey and personal growth at home.

Mental Health Workshops
Access practical strategies and resources to support emotional and mental wellness. Topics include stress management, resilience, and coping skills.

Parent Learning Walks
Participate in guided classroom visits to observe instruction and student engagement, and better understand your child’s learning environment.

Parenting Classes
Explore sessions focused on positive discipline, effective communication, and encouraging independence in children.

Our Family Center is committed to connecting you with resources that make a difference.

• Youth Ride Free Program
  Sign up for free student bus passes to help with daily commutes and activities.

• Computer Access in the Family Center
  Students can use our on-site computers to complete assignments and access school platforms.

• Community Resource Referrals
  Get support with connecting to local services such as food banks, housing assistance, and counseling.

• Aeries and eKadence Portal Support
  Receive help accessing grades, attendance, assignments, and teacher communication through our parent portals.
