Five Reasons CVA May Be for You
Testimonials
High School Student Testimonials
"The reason I chose to be at CVA was to better myself. CVA is on a whole different level. The school includes five different internships and mentorships. I'm grateful for what CVA has provided me — not just providing good teachers who care, but a variety of social opportunities as well."
"I joined in 10th grade. The teachers at my last school were inexperienced with technology (Schoology) and I wanted more flexibility. The teachers at CVA are really qualified to be teaching online. It has been a really great experience. Learning online has not affected my social life. I met friends in class and in person. I thought about independent learning, but the packet life wasn’t for me, as I need more help."
"My parents chose CVA for me. I wasn’t doing bad, but I needed to get my priorities straight. I joined ASB at CVA. I wasn't an extroverted person, but after joining ASB, I liked bringing people together. The community is very welcoming. I have a 3-year old brother at home and I want to be able to spend time with him. CVA provides me the opportunity to spend more time with my family too."
"My parents were very surprised with the community opportunities offered at CVA. I participated in an internship and attended events. I am an introvert, youngest, stay in my lane, parents were super shocked that I was doing all those things."
Mission
CVA will develop young scholars into compassionate innovators, critical thinkers, and problem solvers who will lead and succeed in all levels of society.

“Coffee Chats.” There, parents have the opportunity to meet with CVA’s principal, counselor, a wide array of teachers, and classified members, all of whom work together to host these monthly meetings. The topic of each meeting varies from month-to-month, is relevant to what is occurring for our students and families at the time, and is usually decided by CVA’s Leadership Team.
-
PTA. Led by a group of CVA’s parents and assisted by our classified employee, CVA’s PTA has over a dozen active parents, all of whom want to help out with CVA in whatever way they can.
