Parent Engagement at Cambridge Virtual Academy
At Cambridge Virtual Academy, we believe that parents are essential partners in every student’s success. Our Parent Engagement programs are designed to strengthen collaboration, provide helpful resources, and empower families to support their children throughout their academic journey.
PTSA (Parent-Teacher-Student Association)
Our PTSA unites parents, teachers, and students to create a strong and vibrant school community. Through meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities, the PTSA offers a space for parents to connect, share ideas, and actively support the growth of Cambridge Virtual Academy.

Parent Ambassador Team
This team is made up of committed parents who serve as liaisons between the school and community. Parent Ambassadors welcome new families, share information about school programs, and offer peer support—helping to create a warm, inclusive environment for all.
School Site Council
The School Site Council includes parents, staff, and students who collaborate on setting goals, reviewing academic programs, and guiding how resources are used to support student achievement. This council gives parents a direct voice in shaping the future of our school.
Parent Workshops
We regularly offer workshops that help parents develop skills and confidence to support their children’s education. Topics include:
-
Academic support strategies
-
Navigating virtual learning tools
-
College and career planning
-
Student well-being and resilience
These sessions help parents become informed, empowered advocates for their students.
At Cambridge Virtual Academy, parent engagement is more than involvement—it’s a vital part of our school’s success. We invite all families to join us, stay connected, and help make a lasting impact on our community.
